The group was formed by Steve Brooks , Juan Montoya , Jonathan Nuñez & Rick Smith . They have toured with Mogwai, Isis, Baroness, Jesu, The Sword, Stinking Lizaveta and Boris. Yet Steve Brooks said that they don’t consider themselves a metal band.
